Description: For the forth year in a row, MADD ILLZ brings you LOUNGE BATTLES 4. This annual event is the biggest Hip Hop battle in Central Florida. This years’ event brings you two new battles which are the Producer Battle and the Performance Battle. Along with these contests are also the Beat Box, DJ, and classic MC Battle. Each battle will take place throughout the span of two days in which the winners will be awarded at the end of the second day. Local, as well as out of state, contestants will go head to head for money, prizes, and bragging rights. Don’t miss out and plan to come early as the Battles will begin right away.
CONTESTANTS
Lounge Battles 4 will have five different contests for prizes and/or money. Contestants are not limited to entering one battle and may enter as many as they wish. Contests are spaced out enough to give the participants time to prepare for the next one. The following is a break down in events that will be taking place on both days of LOUNGE BATTLES 4.
MC BATTLE: 32 emcees will face off in this years event to see who comes out on top.
Prizes: $500 in cash. 1 year slot on artist page of www.orlando-hiphop.com . featured on "THE HOT MIX" on Tampa’s 96.1FM. mixtape spot on DJ Slique’s(MTV 2) new mixtape.
Cost to enter: $20 –this includes entry for both days as well.
DJ BATTLE: DJ’s will compete head to head for first place.
Prizes: $100 gift certificate to Benton Records for anything you need as a DJ or fan of Hip Hop. 1 crate of records provided by Insomniac Music
Cost to enter: $10 - this includes entry for both days as well
PERFORMANCE BATTLE: acts (solo or group) will perform against each other for the better show. Each act will perform 1 song against another contestant and a winner will be picked. Winners will advance to the next round where they will perform a new song against another new performance. This process will repeat until a single act is left for the prize.
Prizes: $200 cash
Cost to enter: $20 –this includes entry for both days as well
PRODUCTION BATTLE: The second Installation of 2004's Collective beatdown comes to Lounge Battles 4. This years Beatdown will have some revised rules and procedures to accomodate the venue and event.

Producers its time for you to show what you got.
this will be first come first serve only person guaranteed a spot if he wishes to compete will be last years champion X=144.
The format is as follows...
there will be 8 producers going head to head until there’s only two
The judges will be composed of djs, Mcs, and the crowd
First round (head to head)
for the head to head round there will be 3 rounds: grimey track, club track, and a remix.
The grimy track - (that real street feeling track that usually would not get radio play)
The club track is what it is (dirty south, beatnuts, neptunes-ish, NY flav) you are required to make a track that people would dance to
The remix track will make the producer use one of 3 Beatdown supplied acapellas with one of their beats.
This year’s main difference is that all competitors will be required to bring all their beats on CD. No portable equipment will be supplied or required.
Second round (the 4 winners will be paired off again head to head)
This will be also a 3 round battle. Beat for beat, sound for sound. Producer will put their best beats against each other.
The 2 winners of this round will go to the sample based round
Final round
they will be required to play a beat made with a beatdown-supplied sample (the sample will be available for all competitors one week prior to the battle giving them ample time to build on it)
they can use there own sounds kicks, snares so on and so on,
if one of the finalist uses a keyboard he can recreate the sample.

BEATBOX BATTLE: contestants will battle it out for Lounge Battles 4’s beatbox champion.
